Technical architecture

Native where it matters.

PaintFE is written in Rust and performs editing on your machine. On desktop, wgpu accelerates compositing and supported effects alongside CPU processing; the browser edition uses the same application core through WebGPU or WebGL, with web-specific file and platform services.
